The Elite Story
Elite Power & Energy Corporation is a veteran-owned provider of standby generators and propane, serving homes and businesses across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. From your first consultation through years of dependable service, one trusted team handles it all.
Elite was founded in 2005 by Kelly Tidwell, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and licensed master electrician. What started as a residential electrical company quickly grew into something more: after helping a local family with a standby generator, Kelly saw how much homeowners in our region needed reliable backup power, and generators became our focus.
Within a few years we had become one of the largest Kohler dealers in the Mid-Atlantic. When we found that local propane suppliers would not handle the gas work our generator customers needed, we built our own propane division so our clients could get everything from a single, trusted source. In 2014 those companies came together as Elite Power & Energy Corporation. Today we install and service Kohler, Cummins, Briggs & Stratton, and Generac generators, and we deliver propane and install tanks for the same homes and businesses.
